Home Farm Cottages
Amidst a glorious landscape of unspoilt wooded glens, a fragmented coastline, stunning sea lochs and breath-taking bays, the delightful cottages at Home Farm nestle in the peaceful wooded valley of the River Ruel. The steading and cottages, formerly the farm to the estate, have been lovingly renovated and comfortably furnished in contemporary Scottish style. The spacious courtyard setting affords each property a sense of privacy and they all boast access to 150 acres of wooded grounds, abundant in bird and wildlife, with free trout and salmon fishing on our private stretch of the River Ruel; the recreated fishing hut provides an ideal picnic spot.
One of the most admired views in Scotland, The Kyles of Bute, awaits visitors just 6 miles away, as do the lovely natural bays, sandy beach, shops, restaurants and 9 hole golf course of the tranquil village of Tighnabruaich. Colintraive (9 miles) offers a hotel serving local cuisine and refreshments.
There are numerous activities in the area including walking around Home Farm’s own 100 acres, as well as fishing, distilleries (in Campbeltown), castles, beaches and island hopping. There is even an extensive shared games room on site complete with snooker, table tennis, darts, table football and Wi-Fi so you can keep busy no matter the weather. Outside there is a patio and BBQ – perfect for a refreshment and a meal on warm evenings.
